Going Home

The gentle warmth
Of shock slows
Recollection of the loud
Metallic crush,
Chemical hiss, steam
Tongue explores new gaps
Teeth are AWOL
Bloody, eyes squint
Flicker, dirt and sand
Shouting, legs approach
And warmth
Gentle

This poem is good but, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable at the same time.
